Pictures seen on TV are not pretty - but that is a reality. These remind us of disasters like Katrina, Tsunami, Gujarat Earthquake, Bihar and Mumbai Floods, etc. The current fires in Southern California have caused worst ever loss of property since 1950's. A lot of people have been evacuated and a lot of them have lost their most precious possession - their homes.
Red Cross has been making all efforts to accommodate all these displaced people, in terms of food shelter and medicines. They are quickly running short of resources and need to be replenished.
We, Jains, believers of Jeevdaya (compassion for fellow living beings), need to come together and help all around us. It is our highest obligation to respond to the needs of helpless victims of this tragedy. Your donations are all Tax Deductible.
Jain Center has always been very pro-active in all these efforts and this time also we are joining hands with Red Cross to help out during this calamity. We are appealing you to donate whatever you can for these victims.
Please visit the Red Cross website at http://www.redcross.org or http://www.givelife.org or call them at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE to donate.
